Winners of the Annual SMLRCC Awards Dinner Announced

The Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding business leaders and entrepreneurs. This year’s ballot housed a host of nominees known for their dedication to improving the SML business climate. This year’s winners, voted on by members of the SMLRCC, are:

Tourism Advocate of the Year: Harvester Performance Center Leader of the Year: Sheriff Bill Overton Business of the Year: Haywood’s Jewelers Business of the Decade: Capps Home Building Supply

The event, held Thursday, January 16th at the Waterfront Country Club, was a celebration of “New Beginnings.” Newly appointed Executive Director Chris Finley spoke highly of the SMLRCC’s recent advancements in the areas of membership and events, and praised the SMLRCC Ambassadors for their hard work in helping new and current businesses understand all that the Chamber provides.
